Five shades, deliberately off balance
The Balance five light chandelier gathers five white drum shades around a central stem, but instead of lining them up in a neat ring, each shade sits at a slightly different height on its own short arm. The result is a loose, sculptural cluster rather than a formal chandelier outline, which is where the name comes from.
Black steel frame, polished nickel accents
The frame is finished in matte black steel, with each shade holder, the stem joint and the ceiling rose picked out in polished nickel where the metal is visible. The five shades themselves are made up in white polycotton fabric, so the fitting reads pale and bright from below even though the frame above it is dark.
How It Works
Each of the five arms carries its own E27 lamp holder, sitting inside a white polycotton drum shade with a mirrored acrylic diffuser fitted at the base, which reflects the light back down through the opening rather than letting it spill sideways through the fabric. A single ceiling rose feeds a central rod that can be adjusted between 35cm and 125cm before fitting, which matters more here than on a single pendant since it changes how far the whole cluster of shades sits below the ceiling.
Where It Works Best
Balance is scaled for a dining table or a stairwell rather than a low ceiling, and needs enough headroom above it for five shades to hang without crowding whatever sits underneath. It suits rooms with some height to spare, dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms, or a bedroom where the ceiling is tall enough to hang it clear of the bed.

Can I adjust how low the Balance chandelier hangs? Yes. The central rod is adjustable between 35cm and 125cm before fitting, so you can set the whole cluster of shades higher or lower to suit your ceiling height.
Are the bulbs included? No. Balance takes five E27 bulbs, which aren't included, so you can choose the wattage and colour temperature that suits the room.
Is the Balance chandelier dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E27 bulbs. Non dimmable bulbs won't respond to a dimmer switch even on a dimmable circuit.
Why do the five shades sit at different heights instead of in a ring? Each shade is mounted on its own short arm rather than a single fixed ring, which is what gives Balance its clustered, asymmetric look rather than a symmetrical chandelier shape.
