Elstead Atlas Single Table Lamp - Brushed Brass

The Atlas is built more like a small piece of architecture than a typical lamp base: an open brass frame standing on a slab of white marble, with a deep black shade set squarely on top.

Brass Frame, Marble Base

Brushed brass forms a rectangular, open sided frame that you can see straight through, sitting on a white marble plinth with a black trim beneath it. The shade is black, tapered, and rectangular, finished with a gold trim along every edge and a matching gold lining inside.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder runs through the centre of the frame, wired to Class I standards. Pick a dimmable bulb and you can soften the light for evenings rather than leaving it at one setting.

Where It Works Best

At 72cm tall with a 45cm shade, it needs a console, sideboard or generous bedside table rather than a small side table, somewhere its open frame and marble base can actually be seen.

It's a more graphic, geometric piece than the country house lanterns Elstead is generally known for, though it carries the same attention to finish.
