The Ascent table lamp keeps things simple: a tall, tapering black column that narrows to a fine point, with just a hint of polished metal at the top and nothing else competing for attention.

Black With a Nickel Detail

The column is mild steel finished in a deep black lacquer, narrowing as it rises to a small polished nickel finial under the shade. That's the only metal on show. The shade itself is a dark grey faux silk with a hard back and a fine, slightly textured weave that catches the light without adding pattern.

How It Works

One E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade, wired to Class I standards and designed for an E27 LED bulb, not included. Fit a dimmable LED bulb and it will dim on a compatible circuit for a lower, softer light in the evening; a standard LED bulb runs at full brightness only. Choosing the bulb yourself means you pick the warmth and brightness that suits the room.
