Standing close to head height, the Ascent floor lamp turns a simple tapered column into the main event of a room, its faceted sides catching light from every angle.

Mild steel is finished in a deep matte black, tapering from a slim top to a wider base, and topped with a dark grey faux silk shade. A small nickel finial at the very top is the only metal accent, a neat finishing touch rather than a statement.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 lamp holder, wired to Class I standards, and will dim if you fit a dimmable bulb, so you can drop the light down for evenings without swapping fittings.

Where It Works Best

At around 180cm tall it reads best beside a sofa or armchair, somewhere with a little breathing room, though it works just as well as a reading light in a bedroom corner.

The Ascent range carries the same tapered profile through into a matching table lamp, so the two can be mixed in the same room without looking mismatched.
