Ascent takes the sharply tapering column of its floor standing namesake and brings it down to table lamp scale. It narrows steadily from a square base to a slim neck with no arms, curves or extra detailing to interrupt the line, so the shape itself does all the work.

The column is finished in a smooth black lacquer, with a small polished nickel finial marking the top where the shade sits. Paired with a crisp white hard backed shade, the contrast keeps the whole lamp reading as graphic rather than heavy.

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade; no bulb is supplied. Fit a dimmable bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch and the light responds, so you can take the level down for evenings without swapping fittings.

Does the Ascent table lamp come with a bulb? No. It takes a single E27 bulb, which isn't supplied, so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness you want.

Can the Ascent table lamp be dimmed? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer switch. A standard non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
