The Arum takes its name from the arum lily trailing across its porcelain body, hand painted in soft ochre, olive and cream beneath a crackled glaze that gives the jar shaped base the look of an aged piece of export porcelain.

An aged brass collar sits at the neck of the porcelain jar, carrying a matching aged brass ball finial at the top of the shade. Both have a warm, softly weathered gold tone rather than a bright polish, which sits comfortably against the muted greens and ochres of the painted pattern below. A dark wood plinth grounds the base, and a cream pleated fabric shade sits over the top, keeping the light soft and letting the hand painted detail stay the focus.

How it works

One E27 bulb sits inside the shade, with the switch built into the lamp itself so there's nothing extra to wire in beyond plugging it in. Fit a dimmable bulb and the light responds to a dimmer switch if you have one on that circuit.
