Apollo swaps the usual turned column for angled brass legs that cross and fan outward from a marble base, so it reads more like a miniature structure than a conventional lamp base. Switched off it already holds its own on a shelf or console; switched on, warm light spills out through the gaps between each brass strip.

Brushed brass, marble and navy suede

The angled legs run in a warm, satin brushed brass rather than a mirror polish, so everyday handling and fingerprints won't show. Both the base and the plinth beneath the shade are capped in genuine white marble, and the whole thing is topped with a boxy, hexagonal shade in navy blue faux suede, lined in gold faux silk that throws a warm glow down through the frame when lit.

How it works

Apollo takes a single E27 LED lamp holder, so you can choose whichever colour temperature of LED bulb suits the room, and the bulb isn't included. Fit a dimmable LED bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer switch and the light will dim; without one it runs at full brightness. The steel frame underneath the brass finish keeps each slender leg rigid despite its narrow profile.
