Elstead Apollo Single Table Lamp - Brushed Brass

A lamp built like a piece of sculpture

The Apollo table lamp trades the usual turned base for something closer to architecture: a hexagonal plinth in white marble, framed by brushed brass strips that cross and fan out like a pleated column. It holds its own switched off, then earns its place properly once the light goes on.

Brushed brass and navy suede

The angular brass legs run in a warm, satin finish rather than a polished one, so fingerprints and everyday handling won't show. Top and base are capped in white marble, and the whole thing is finished with a boxy, hexagonal shade in navy blue faux suede, lined in gold faux silk that throws a warm glow down through the frame.

How it works

Apollo takes a single E27 bulb, so you can choose a warm white for a softer look or go dimmable if you have a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb fitted. Steel construction keeps the frame sturdy despite the slender profile of each brass strip.

Where it works best

Standing at 87cm, it's tall enough to work as a statement piece on a sideboard or console rather than disappearing on a bedside table, though it will happily do that job too. Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways all suit it, anywhere you want one strong lighting moment rather than a wash of light.
