Grand scale, warm finish
This is the largest chandelier in the Amarilli collection, arranged over two tiers with long scrolling arms that reach out well beyond the central column. Gilded leaf clusters climb up through the middle, and clear glass drops hang from the lower ring, catching whatever light is in the room.
Bronze with gold accents
The scrollwork is finished in a deep bronze, while the acanthus leaves and candle sleeves are picked out in a warmer gold tone, giving the whole piece a slightly softer, more antique look than a plain metal finish would. Small crystal ball details sit along the stem between the two tiers.
How it works
Fifteen candle style lamp holders are split across the two tiers, six on the top ring and nine below, each on its own glass sconce. The drop is adjustable, from around 108cm at its shortest to 588cm fully extended, so it can be set for anything from a standard ceiling to a much taller space. It will dim if you fit dimmable bulbs.
Where it works best
Given its size, this suits rooms with real presence: a formal dining room, a wide entrance hall, or a stairwell where it can hang low enough to be seen properly from below. It is not a fitting for a modest sized room.
Elstead's country house look
Elstead has built its reputation on traditional and country house style fittings like this one, working from forged scrolls and leaf detailing rather than simpler production shapes. The company has been based in Alton, Hampshire since 1971 and is still run by the Lucas family.
