A picture that's beautifully framed but poorly lit still gets overlooked. The Alton picture light gives an oil painting, a framed print or a gallery wall its own dedicated source of light, angled down from just above the frame so the piece reads properly instead of disappearing into the shadows around it.
Brushed brass
This version is finished in a warm, brushed brass with a soft satin sheen rather than a polished shine, so it reads as a quiet accent piece against the wall rather than the star of the room. A slender curved arm carries the light bar out from a small round wall plate, keeping the whole fitting close to the wall and out of the way.
How it works
The light bar houses a 6W integrated LED strip that throws a soft 3000K glow downward and outward across the frame beneath it, giving an even wash of light rather than a single hot spot. There's no dimmer built in, so it's a straightforward on and off fitting.
Where it works best
Alton suits the rooms where artwork tends to hang: living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and home offices, above a single large canvas or centred over a smaller framed piece on a stairwell wall.
