A geometric take on stained glass
Most Tiffany style pendants lean on curling florals and soft stained glass swirls, but the Alderley pendant takes a sharper, more architectural route. Its wide, four sided shade is pieced together from long straight glass segments that fan out from a single point, giving it the look of an art deco sunburst rather than a cottage garden.
Vintage Bronze finish
The square ceiling rose, chain and shade frame are all finished in a dark Vintage Bronze, a warm, aged tone that reads closer to old ironwork than polished metal. A small brass ball pull hangs below the shade, so the light can be switched on and off by hand rather than at a wall switch.
How It Works
The shade pairs pale ivory glass with soft aqua panels that streak diagonally toward the centre, plus a section of textured clear glass that catches and scatters light once the bulbs are lit. It takes two E27 bulbs, LED recommended, set inside the frame so the glow spreads across the whole shade rather than from one visible point. The chain suspension lets the finished drop be set at installation, and it arrives with some simple assembly to complete.
Where It Works Best
At 38cm across, the Alderley has enough presence to work as a single pendant over a dining table or kitchen island, and its adjustable chain means it can sit comfortably under both standard and higher ceilings. It also suits a hallway or landing where a distinctive shape overhead is welcome, or a living room or bedroom corner where two bulbs give a warmer, more focused pool of light than a central ceiling fitting.

How many bulbs does the Alderley pendant take? It takes two E27 bulbs, which aren't included, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature. Fit dimmable bulbs if you want to use it with a dimmer switch.
Can I adjust how low the pendant hangs? Yes. The chain suspension gives an adjustable drop from 32.8cm up to 182.8cm, so it can be set at installation to suit both standard and higher ceilings.
Is the Alderley pendant dimmable? Yes, as long as dimmable E27 bulbs are fitted. Bulbs that aren't dimmable won't dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
Does the Alderley pendant need an electrician to install? As a Class I ceiling fitting that requires an earthed connection, we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.
