A geometric take on Tiffany glass
Most Tiffany style lamps lean on swirling florals, but the Alderley Large Table Lamp does something quieter. Its shade is built from long, straight panels of glass that fan out from the centre like the ribs of a fan, giving the whole piece a crisp, almost art deco feel rather than a cottage one.
Finished in Vintage Bronze
The stepped square column and base are cast in a deep Vintage Bronze, with a small squared finial capping the shade. It's a solid, substantial base that anchors the lighter glasswork above it nicely.
How it works
Pale ivory glass panels make up most of the shade, interrupted by narrow bands of soft aqua and sage green that pick out a diagonal pattern running up towards the finial. Tucked among them is a single panel of textured clear glass, which catches the light and sparkles once the bulb is on. One E27 bulb sits inside.
Where it works best
Its scale suits a bedside table, a console in a hallway, or an end table beside an armchair, anywhere you want a warm pool of light with a bit of pattern to look at rather than a plain shade.
