A geometric take on Tiffany glass
Most Tiffany style lamps lean on swirling florals, but the Alderley Large Table Lamp takes a straighter path. Its shade is built from long, narrow panels of glass that fan out from the finial like the ribs of a folded fan, giving the whole piece a crisp, graphic feel closer to art deco than cottage style.
Finished in Vintage Bronze
The stepped square column and plinth base are cast in a deep Vintage Bronze, with visible ribbed detailing where the column meets the base and again where it meets the shade collar. A small squared finial in the same finish caps the shade. It is a solid, substantial stand that anchors the paler glasswork sitting above it.
How It Works
Pale ivory art glass panels make up most of the shade, some of them lightly iridescent, interrupted by bands of soft aqua and sage green that pick out a diagonal pattern running up towards the finial. Set among them on one face is a single panel of textured clear glass, cut with an irregular hammered surface that catches and scatters light once the lamp is switched on. One E27 LED lamp holder sits inside; the bulb is not included, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. Fit a dimmable smart bulb if you want to bring the light down for the evening, since the lamp itself has no built in dimmer.
