Elstead Aegeus Single Table Lamp - Polished Nickel & White Marble

The Aegeus table lamp swaps the usual single pole base for a sculptural, angular frame in polished nickel, braced between two slabs of white marble. It's a design that holds its own even before the light goes on.

Nickel and Marble

The frame is finished in a bright polished nickel, its crossing angles catching light differently depending on where you're standing. Sitting above and below it are two marble plates, pale and lightly veined, that add weight and a cool, tactile base. On top, a drum shade in a soft grey fabric with a matching satin trim finishes the look.

How It Works

One E27 bulb sits inside the drum shade, spreading a broad, even light across the room rather than a single hard point, so it works well as ambient lighting rather than a task lamp. Fit a dimmable bulb if you want to bring the level down further in the evening.

Where It Works Best

Standing 70cm tall, it has enough scale to anchor a console table or sideboard, and enough personality to work as a bedside lamp in a room where the rest of the furniture is kept simple.

Underneath the nickel plating the frame is steel, so despite its slender angles it's a sturdy base rather than a delicate one, and it carries a two year warranty as standard.
