Elstead Aegean Single Wall Light - Polished Brass

There's a real sense of movement to the Aegean single wall light, its hand forged scroll curling out from a circular backplate up to a single bulb shaped like a candle flame. A faceted cut glass sconce sits beneath the bulb, with a crystal drop swinging just behind it and a twisted metal finial finishing the design.

Polished Brass

This is a true polished brass, warm and glossy rather than aged, so it throws back plenty of reflected light from the bulb and catches the crystal drop from every angle. Underneath the plating it's a steel fitting, built to hold its curls and scrolls without sagging over time.

How It Works

Fit one E14 candle bulb into the brass sconce and switch on. The cut glass beneath it spreads the light gently outward while the hanging crystal picks up small glints from the bulb, giving the wall a soft, flickering quality even though the light source itself is fixed.

Where It Works Best

Flanking a hallway mirror, either side of a fireplace, or spaced along a staircase wall, this single arm design earns its keep wherever you want a pool of light rather than a flood. It suits a period townhouse just as well as a newer build dressed in a more classical style.

The Aegean design also comes as a ceiling fitting, and this wall light is available in Polished Nickel and Aged Brass as well as this brass finish, so it's easy to mix and match between rooms.
