The Aegean table lamp builds its base from a slender wirework cage, tapered into a rounded urn shape rather than left as a plain column, with a faceted crystal disc set where the metal meets the fitting above and a second lower near the foot. Above it all sits a pleated ivory fabric shade, its vertical folds catching the light differently depending on where you're standing.

This version is finished in polished brass, giving the wirework cage a bright, mirror like shine rather than the softer brushed or aged tones found elsewhere in the range. The ribs of the cage are cut from steel and plated to that high shine, so they pick up reflections as you move around the lamp, while the two crystal discs add a cooler, clearer sparkle against the warm metal.

How It Works

A single E27 fitting sits inside the base, hidden beneath the shade, and takes an LED lamp rather than a bulb supplied in the box, so you can choose the exact brightness and colour temperature. Fit a dimmable LED and the lamp will respond to a compatible dimmer circuit, useful for bringing the light down low in the evening. The ivory pleated shade softens and diffuses that light rather than casting it in the open way an uncovered fitting would.

Where It Works Best

Standing 58cm tall with a 36cm shade base, the Aegean has enough scale to hold its own on a hallway console or sideboard, and works equally well as a statement bedside lamp where there's the surface depth to take it.
