Eight arms of candlelight in polished brass
The Aegean 8 light chandelier fans two tiers of scrolled arms out from a bright, mirror polished brass frame, each one finishing in a cut glass sconce that catches the light from the candle style bulb above it. It's a big, traditional shape, built for a room that can take the scale.
Polished brass finish
Polished brass throws back light rather than absorbing it the way a brushed or satin finish would, so the wirework cage at the centre and the twisted stem beneath it read as a sharp, reflective gold rather than the warmer, softer tone of the Aged Brass version in the same range.
How It Works
Eight E14 lamp holders sit openly across the arms rather than hiding behind shades, so expect a scattered, candlelit glow rather than one single bright source. Fit dimmable bulbs and the light responds to a dimmer switch, bringing the level right down for evenings. The chain adjusts the drop from 55cm up to 181cm, so it can be hung to suit anything from a standard ceiling to a stairwell void.
Where It Works Best
At 65cm across, Aegean needs a bit of space around it, so it tends to suit taller hallways, stairwells and dining rooms rather than a modest sized bedroom or a low ceiling.
Elstead Lighting
Aegean comes from Elstead Lighting, a British lighting group whose roots trace back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and which is still led by the Lucas family today. The same design is also made as a five light chandelier, a wall light and a table lamp, and in a warmer Aged Brass finish if that suits the room better.

What bulb does the Aegean chandelier take? It takes eight E14 candle bulbs, and we'd recommend an E14 LED. Bulbs are not included.
Is the Aegean chandelier dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. A non dimmable bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch even on a compatible circuit.
How far can the Aegean chandelier hang down? The chain lets you adjust the drop from 55cm up to 181cm, so it can be set to suit a standard ceiling height or a much taller stairwell.
Is there a smaller version of the Aegean chandelier? Yes. The same design is also made as a five light chandelier, plus a wall light and a table lamp, in polished brass or aged brass.
