Aegean's three light chandelier keeps the same open cage centre, curling scroll arms and hanging crystal droplets as the rest of the range, this time finished in a bright polished nickel that reads as a cool, silvery light rather than the warm glow of the brass versions.

Polished nickel

The steel frame is plated in a bright polished nickel, giving the piece a mirror sharp shine that picks out every curve in the scrollwork and the twisted knop finial beneath the central cage. Cut crystal drip pans sit under two of the candle holders, each with a faceted crystal droplet hanging beneath, adding sparkle without the fitting relying on colour to do the work.

How it works

Three E14 candle style bulb holders provide the light. Two sit in cut crystal drip pans at the end of the fitting's curling scroll arms, while the third is housed inside the open, urn shaped wire cage at the centre, its glow filtering out through the curved metal strips. A decorative twisted knop hangs below the arms, finished with a small ball drop. The whole fitting suspends on a twisted link chain, adjustable from 50cm to 97.5cm, so the final drop can be set to suit the ceiling height on installation.

Where it works best

The bright, silvery polished nickel finish suits rooms with cooler tones or pale walls, where it won't add the golden warmth of a brass fitting. It works well centred over a dining table, as a stairwell or hallway centrepiece, or as the main light in a living room or bedroom with a traditional or transitional scheme.

What bulbs does the Aegean chandelier take? It takes three E14 candle style bulbs, and we recommend fitting LED lamps. Bulbs are not included.

Is the Aegean chandelier dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable bulbs. Non dimmable bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.

Can I adjust how low the chandelier hangs? Yes. It suspends on a chain that can be shortened or lengthened to give a drop of anywhere between 50cm and 97.5cm, so it can be set to suit your ceiling height.
