A lantern cage crowned in aged brass
The Aegean 3 light chandelier centres on an open, lantern shaped cage of curved aged brass strips, with three scrolled arms sweeping outward beneath it to carry the candle style bulbs. It hangs from an adjustable chain rather than a fixed rod, so the whole fitting can be set at whatever height suits the room below.
Aged brass finish
Underneath the finish, Aegean is built on a steel frame, and the aged brass plating gives it a warm, softly antiqued tone rather than the bright shine of a polished finish. That warmth is set off by clear cut crystal at each arm, a faceted drip pan under every bulb, a teardrop crystal swinging from each scroll, and a spiral twisted finial hanging beneath the central cage.
How it works
Three E14 lamp holders sit inside the cut crystal drip pans along the arms, with the open wirework cage forming the centre of the fitting rather than a closed shade. Light spills out through the gaps in the cage in every direction, and the crystal droplets and drip pans catch and scatter it further. LED candle bulbs are recommended, and fitting dimmable bulbs lets the chandelier be dimmed from a switch.
Where it works best
Hung centrally over a dining table, in the middle of a living room, or as a statement piece above a stairwell or landing, Aegean gives a room a proper focal point without tipping into anything too ornate. The chain lets the drop run from 50cm up to 97.5cm, so it can sit close to the ceiling in a lower room or drop further where there's height to spare, and it suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways alike.
Elstead Lighting
Aegean is part of the Elstead Lighting collection. The brand takes its name from The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, where its history began, and remains led by the same Lucas family today. The scrollwork, crystal and twisted finial on this chandelier reflect the traditional, country house style Elstead has built its range around, carried through here into a fitting wired for modern LED bulbs.

How do I adjust the drop height on the Aegean chandelier? The fitting hangs on a chain that can be shortened or lengthened, giving a drop anywhere from 50cm up to 97.5cm, so it can be set closer to the ceiling in a lower room or dropped further where there's more height.
What bulbs does the Aegean chandelier take? It takes three E14 candle style bulbs. LED bulbs are recommended, and none are included, so you'll need to add your own.
Is the Aegean chandelier dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. A non dimmable bulb will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
