This Vela is finished in French gold, a warm, buttery tone that suits period detailing, brass hardware and richly coloured walls particularly well. If your scheme leans cooler, other finishes are available across the wider Vela range, so you can match the metal tone already running through the room.

How It Works

The fitting takes 1 x E14 LED (Candle) bulb, which is not included, so you can pick your preferred colour temperature to suit the room. It is not an integrated LED design, and a toggle switch built into the fitting itself lets you turn it on and off at the wall light, handy anywhere a nearby switch is inconvenient.

Its compact 37cm height and modest 23cm projection make it a natural fit for bedrooms either side of a headboard, along a hallway or staircase, or flanking a fireplace or mirror in a living or dining room.

Can I fit a dimmable bulb? Yes, as long as your chosen E14 LED bulb and any dimmer switch used are compatible with each other, since the fitting itself is switched rather than dimmed.

Is the built in switch the only way to operate it? The toggle switch on the fitting lets you operate it independently, though it can still be wired into a wall switch circuit by a qualified electrician if preferred.
