A larger scale take on the same design
The Chime pendant takes the same clustered, textured glass rods as the wall sconce and builds them into a full round chandelier, wrapped by a wide Silver Leaf band. Where the sconce is a small wall piece, this pendant is a genuine centrepiece, a full 26.75 inches across, with eight lights glowing up through two tiers of glass. In our photos it hangs over a dining table, and the scale is unmistakably a statement piece rather than a background fitting.
Silver Leaf finish
As with the rest of the Chime family, the band running around the pendant is finished in Silver Leaf with polished stainless accents, a soft brushed silver rather than a bright chrome. Against the clear textured glass it reads as quiet and warm, and the same finish carries through to the stem and ceiling canopy so the whole fixture feels considered rather than assembled from mismatched parts.
How it works
Eight E14 candelabra bulbs, 60 watts maximum each, sit within the two tiers of glass rods so light glows outward through the texture from every angle. The fixture itself measures 26.75 inches across and 11 inches high, and it ships with an adjustable stem kit, one 6 inch, two 12 inch and one 18 inch, giving a finished hanging height of roughly 15 up to 56.75 inches, so it can be set to suit a range of ceiling heights.
Where it works best
This is a ceiling fixture built to be looked at, so it belongs over a dining table, a kitchen island, or in an entrance hall or stairwell with the height to let it hang properly. Given its size, it works best as the single lighting statement in a room rather than one of several fittings competing for attention.
About Corbett
Corbett Lighting is the Hudson Valley Lighting Group brand best known for oversized, sculptural fixtures, pieces the company itself positions as sophisticated and chic with a jewellery like sense of detail, and this pendant is very much built in that spirit. Alongside Mitzi and Troy Lighting, Corbett belongs to a family business with a long history. It began with Brooklyn inventor William Littman in 1939, who was struck by the fluorescent lighting on display at the New York World's Fair that same year. Decades later his grandson David Littman founded Hudson Valley Lighting Group in the 1980s, turning that early spark into the group Corbett is now part of.
