A Ceiling Light That Changes Shape With Your Room
The Collingwood Nova CSP is built around a single idea: one fixture, three ways to hang it. Out of the box it sits flush against the ceiling for a clean, low profile look. Add the separately sold Nova suspension kit and it drops down as a pendant. On the two smaller sizes you can even turn it on its side and fix it to a wall. The wide, flat light emitting surface behind the microprism lens spreads light evenly across the room instead of throwing one hard beam, so the whole space gets a soft, consistent glow.
Black With A Gold Reveal
This version pairs a matte black outer housing with a gold inner trim, so the ring around the lens catches a warm edge of colour when the light is on and still reads as a deliberate style choice when it's off. It's made from an aluminium housing with a microprism lens across the face, built to feel substantial rather than like a basic diffuser panel. Nova CSP comes in three sizes, 450mm at 26W, 600mm at 40W and 900mm at 68W, so the same look scales from a compact room to a much larger one.
How It Works
- Integral LED driver, so there's nothing extra to wire in to get it running
- Colour switchable between 2700K, 3000K and 4000K, set during installation or from the control system
- Lumen output rises with size, from around 2600 to 3000 lumens on the 450mm, 4200 to 4800 lumens on the 600mm, and 7900 to 9000 lumens on the 900mm
- Efficiency reaches up to 138 lumens per watt depending on size and colour temperature setting
- Dims via DALI-2, 1-10V or push dim control, so it fits into an existing lighting control setup rather than needing its own remote
Where It Works Best
Flush mounted, Nova CSP works well in rooms with lower ceilings where a pendant would hang too low, like hallways, home offices or kitchens. Switch to the suspension kit and the same fixture becomes a proper pendant over a dining table or in a living room with the ceiling height to spare. The 450mm and 600mm sizes can also go on a wall, which suits a corridor or a feature wall where a ceiling fitting isn't practical. The 900mm is ceiling only, sized more for open plan living spaces or commercial areas that need a stronger, single light source.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and builds its LED products from its own site in Sywell, Northamptonshire, and has focused on LED technology since 2002. The company says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed and mains dimmable LED products into the UK electrical wholesale market, groundwork that shows up in details like Nova CSP's DALI-2 and push dim compatibility. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Can the same fixture really be flush mounted, wall mounted and a pendant?
Yes. Nova CSP is flush mounted as standard, the 450mm and 600mm sizes can be fixed to a wall, and any size becomes a pendant once it's paired with the separately sold Nova suspension kit.
Which size is right for a dining table compared to a whole living room?
The 450mm at 26W suits a single dining table or a small room, the 600mm at 40W fits a mid sized living room or bedroom, and the 900mm at 68W is a ceiling only option built for larger open plan or commercial spaces.
How do you change the brightness or colour temperature?
Nova CSP is controlled through DALI-2, 1-10V or push dim wiring rather than a handset or app, so it needs a compatible dimmer switch or lighting control system already in place.
Can it be wired into an emergency lighting circuit?
Yes, but only with the separately sold Salvus Route module, which adds remote emergency conversion to the standard integral driver.
