A Motion Sensor Built for the Caiman CSP

This plug-in kit adds a microwave motion sensor to Collingwood's Caiman CSP luminaire, so the light comes on when someone walks into range and switches off again once the space has been quiet for a while. It's a genuinely no fuss upgrade. There's no separate sensor housing to fit and no extra wiring to run.

What's in the Kit

The kit is a single white plastic module that plugs straight into the Caiman CSP's onboard connector. A row of switches on the casing lets an installer adjust its settings on site, and it's stamped with the certification markings you'd expect on commercial electrical gear.

How It Works

The sensor uses microwave detection rather than passive infrared, so it can pick up movement through some materials and doesn't rely on a clear line of sight the way a PIR sensor does. It only offers simple on/off switching. There's no dimming function, so it suits spaces where you want the light fully on or fully off rather than fading between levels.

Will this fit any Collingwood light? No. It's designed to plug into the Caiman CSP's own connector, so it's specific to that luminaire.

Can I use it to dim the light as well as switch it on and off? No. This kit only provides on/off switching. It doesn't add a dimming function.
