An LED Strip That Can Take a Wet Room in Its Stride

The LSC85 is Collingwood's fully waterproof version of its 9.6W per metre strip, sealed to IP68 so it copes with steam, splashes and direct contact with water rather than just resisting a bit of damp. It runs at a CRI of 90, so colours under it look close to how they'd look in daylight, and the flexible tape will follow a curve or an uneven run without trouble.

2700K or 4000K, Cut to the Length You Need

This strip comes in two colour temperatures, a warm 2700K for a softer glow or a cooler 4000K for a brighter, more functional light. Because it draws less power per metre than some of Collingwood's other strips, it can be supplied as a single run of up to 20m rather than needing to be joined partway through. Every length is cut to order, so measure the run carefully before you buy.

How It Works

The tape itself is 14mm wide and 5mm deep, with the LEDs wired in parallel along its length. That parallel wiring keeps the brightness even from one end of the run to the other, rather than dimming as it gets further from the power feed. It runs on low voltage and needs a separate 24V DC driver to step down from the mains, sold separately. If that driver supports dimming, this strip will dim with it.

Where It Works Best

Its IP68 rating makes this a genuine option for bathrooms, shower rooms and kitchen splashbacks, anywhere steam or a stray splash would put a standard indoor strip at risk. It's equally suited to sheltered outdoor spots such as a covered porch or pergola. Questions People Ask

What's the difference between the 2700K and 4000K versions?
The 2700K version gives a warmer, softer white light, while the 4000K version is a cooler, brighter white. Both run at the same 9.6W per metre and CRI of 90.

Can this strip really be cut to any length up to 20m?
Yes. Its lower power draw per metre means a single run can go up to 20m without needing a joint partway through. It's supplied cut to order, so measure the run before ordering.

Does this come with a driver?
No. The LSC85 needs a separate 24V DC driver to run from the mains, and this is bought separately to suit the length and load of your run.

Is this strip actually safe to use in a bathroom?
