Keep One Continuous Run, Not a Row of Joins
SM7 profile comes in fixed lengths, so a longer run means joining two sticks together. This linear connector does that join. It lines the two lengths up so the channel and diffuser carry on flush, without a step or a gap where they meet.
Built to Match the SM7 Channel
It's moulded from ABS plastic rather than metal, sized to slot snugly inside the open ends of Collingwood's SM7 aluminium profile. It's a small part, but it's cut to the exact 20mm by 10mm internal profile so it locates the two sections properly rather than just bridging a gap.
How It Works
- The connector pushes into the end of one profile length and then into the start of the next.
- Its raised centre section sits inside both channels at once, holding them level with each other.
- Once both lengths are pushed home, the profile faces line up so the diffuser sits flush across the joint.
Where It Works Best
Reach for this whenever a single 1m or 2m length of SM7 profile won't cover the run you need, for example a long stretch under kitchen wall units, along a run of shelving, or through coving that continues around more than one wall. It's for joining straight sections in line. It isn't a corner piece, so where a run turns a corner you'll need a dedicated corner connector instead.
