A Neat Way to Turn a Corner
Running LED strip around a corner usually means stopping, cutting the strip, and rewiring it by hand. This L bend connector removes that step. It clips onto the cut ends of two lengths of Collingwood's LSP or LSC02 10mm strip and joins them at a 90 degree angle, so the run continues without a soldering iron or any other tool.
Clear Polycarbonate with Copper Contacts
The connector is moulded from clear polycarbonate, so it sits almost invisibly inside the same channel as the strip once it's fitted. Two copper contacts inside the housing complete the electrical connection when the strip ends are pushed home. There's no other finish or colour, since this piece is built purely to work within the LSP and LSC02 profile system.
How It Works
Slide the cut end of one strip into one arm of the connector, and the end of the second length into the other arm. The copper contacts line up with the strip's own contact pads and complete the circuit as soon as the two pieces click together. No solder and no crimping tool are needed, just a firm push until it seats.
Where It's Used
This connector earns its place wherever an LED strip run needs to change direction, inside a cabinet carcass, along a length of coving, or around a joinery detail. It's rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor installations such as kitchens, hallways, and living spaces, rather than bathrooms or anywhere it could get wet.
About Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and builds the LSP and LSC02 strip systems, along with the connectors that complete them, from its factory in Sywell, Northamptonshire. The company has focused on LED technology since 2002, and says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed, and mains dimmable LED products into the UK electrical wholesale market. Collingwood has also been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Will this connector work with any 10mm LED strip?
No. It's designed specifically for Collingwood's LSP and LSC02 10mm strip range, and fit isn't guaranteed with strip from other manufacturers.
Do I need to solder anything to fit it?
No. The copper contacts complete the circuit as soon as the two strip ends are clipped into place, so no soldering or crimping is required.
Can I use this connector outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's intended for dry indoor locations only.
Does the connector change the brightness or colour of the strip?
No. It simply carries the electrical connection around the corner. It doesn't add resistance or change the strip's specification in normal use.
