This is the square bezel for Collingwood's H2 downlight range, the plastic ring that frames the fitting and gives it its finished look. It's sold per unit, so you order exactly as many as you have downlights to cover.
Five Finishes, One Simple Swap
- Matt white and matt black are the two paintable options here. Both can be overpainted with standard ceiling paint, so you can match the bezel to a specific wall or ceiling colour rather than living with a stark contrast.
- Chrome brings a brighter, reflective edge that suits bathrooms and kitchens with other chrome fittings nearby.
- Polished gold and silver are the more decorative options, useful where the downlight sits somewhere the trim itself is on show, like a hallway or feature ceiling.
- Every finish is moulded from lightweight plastic, so swapping one on adds no real load to the downlight housing.
How It Works
The bezel uses a twist and lock fitting, so it comes off and goes back on without disturbing the rest of the downlight. That means you can change the finish at any point, whether that's before the main fitting goes in or years later when you're redecorating. Fitting a new bezel after the painting and plastering is finished usually gives the cleanest result, since there's no risk of getting paint or plaster on it during the works.
