Four Windows, One Wide Spread of Light
The GL200 4 facet is the widest spreading option in Collingwood's domed marker light range. Instead of sending light out from a single side, it has four windows set around the dome, so light grazes out across the surrounding surface in every direction at once. Recessed into paving, decking or a step, it reads as a small, level disc rather than a light fitting, until it's switched on.
The 4 Facet Version in Brass
This variant pairs an antique brass dome with a 316 stainless steel body underneath, so the finish sits happily against natural stone, brick or timber decking rather than looking like bare metal hardware. The dome carries the four facet cut outs, and the Collingwood name is stamped into the side of the housing, visible only if the fitting is lifted out to check it.
How It Works
Each of the four windows throws a 90 degree beam of 3000K warm white light, so together they cover the full circle around the fitting rather than leaving gaps between beams. It runs at 5.7W and puts out 20 lumens, with a CRI of 80 for reasonably natural colour rendering on the surfaces it lights. There's no separate driver to plan for, as it wires straight to the mains in parallel with the rest of the run, and it isn't dimmable.
Where It Works Best
Because it spreads light in every direction rather than along a path, this is the one to choose for open areas: driveways, courtyards, patios or wide steps where a single direction fitting would leave uneven coverage. It suits spacing along the edge of a drive, marking out a broad step, or dotting across a courtyard where people approach from more than one angle.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. Ground lights like this one sit within what the brand describes as one of the first ranges to bring fully sealed, waterproof for life LED products to the UK electrical wholesale market, an approach that matters more underfoot than almost anywhere else in a lighting scheme. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What does 4 facet mean on this light?
It means the dome has four separate windows cut into it, each throwing a 90 degree beam, so light spreads out in every direction rather than along a single path.
Can this be driven over?
Yes. It's rated IK10 for impact resistance and built for walk over and drive over installations such as driveways.
Do I need a separate driver for this light?
No. It wires straight to the mains, so there's no external driver to plan for or hide nearby.
What connector do I need for the underground joint?
A waterproof JB5 or WC5-9 connector, or a TUBE/68 installation tube, bought separately from the light itself.
Is this light dimmable?
No, it runs at a fixed output and isn't designed to be used with a dimmer.
What's the difference between this and a single facet marker light?
A single facet version sends light out of one window only, useful for marking a direction such as along a path. This 4 facet version spreads light in every direction at once, which suits open areas rather than a single line of travel.
