A Wider Spread of Light From One Direction
This is the two facet version of Collingwood's GL200 marker light, a small domed fitting that recesses into paving, decking or steps. With two windows set on the same side, it throws a slightly wider spread of light than the single facet version while still keeping everything aimed in one direction. That makes it useful for grazing light along the edge of a path or up a wall without spilling it the other way.
Brass Dome Over a Stainless Steel Body
The dome is finished in antique brass and sits above a 316 stainless steel body, so the visible face will age to a warm, slightly weathered look while the parts doing the hard work underground stay properly corrosion resistant. It reads as a small, quiet detail set into the ground rather than a fixture anyone notices in daylight.
How It Works
- 5.7W LED, giving out 20 lumens at 3000K warm white
- 90 degree beam angle from two facet windows facing the same direction
- Wires straight to mains, so there is no separate driver to source or fit
- Wired in parallel, so each fitting connects independently along the run
- Needs a 70mm cut out to install
- Requires a waterproof jointing accessory bought separately, such as a JB5 or WC5-9 connector, or a TUBE/68 installation sleeve, to make the underground connection properly
Where It Works Best
Good for marking the edge of a path, a step, a driveway or a deck, anywhere you want a low, glare free wash of light rather than a visible point source. Because it is IP65 and IK10 rated, it copes with rain, standing water and being walked or driven over, so it suits patios, garden paths and drives as well as decking and steps.
About Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. Fittings like this one, built to be walked over, rained on and buried in the ground, are exactly the kind of product the brand built its name on. Collingwood says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully waterproof and mains dimmable LED lighting to the UK electrical wholesale market, and has since been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
- What's the difference between this and the single facet version? The single facet GL200 has one window and throws a narrower beam in one direction. This two facet version has two windows facing the same side, giving a wider spread of light while still keeping it aimed away from the opposite side.
- Can it be walked or driven over? Yes. It is rated IK10 for impact resistance, so it is designed to take foot traffic and the weight of a car on a driveway.
- Does it need a separate driver? No. It wires straight to the mains, so there is no driver to source or fit.
- What else do I need to install it? A waterproof jointing accessory such as a JB5 or WC5-9 connector, or a TUBE/68 installation sleeve, bought separately, to make the underground connection. Use a qualified electrician for the wiring.
- Is it dimmable? No, this fitting is not dimmable.
