A Clean Finish for Every SM28 Run
Cut a length of Collingwood's SM28 surface mount profile to size and you're left with two open ends. This cap closes them off, so the channel looks finished rather than sawn.
Anodised Aluminium, Not Plastic
The cap is made from anodised aluminium rather than the plastic often used for this kind of part. That means it takes on the same tone as the SM28 profile itself, so the join at each end blends in instead of standing out.
This version doesn't have a cable hole cut in as standard. If your power lead needs to exit through the cap rather than run along the profile, you'll need to drill or cut that hole into the rear yourself before fitting.
How It Works
The cap fits onto the open end of the SM28 profile once your LED strip and diffuser are cut and fitted. Two screw holes on the face let you fix it in place for a permanent, mechanically secure finish rather than a simple push fit.
Where It's Used
Reach for this cap on any SM28 run where the ends will be on show, under kitchen cabinetry, along a staircase stringer, around a shelf edge, or on an outdoor deck or canopy where the profile sits on the surface rather than recessed into it. It works equally well indoors or outside, wherever an SM28 channel needs tidying off rather than left open.

Does this cap fit the SM19 profile too?
No. This cap is sized specifically for the SM28 profile, the deeper of Collingwood's two surface mount channels. It won't fit the shallower SM19 profile.
Can I run the cable through the cap?
Not without extra work. This cap doesn't come with a cable hole already cut, so you'll need to drill or cut one into the rear yourself if the lead needs to exit there rather than along the profile.
Does it come with the SM28 profile?
No, it's sold separately, so you'll need to order it alongside the profile length you need.
