A Sensor Built Right Into the Bezel
Most PIR downlights carry their sensor as a separate dome sitting next to the light on the ceiling. This bezel does it differently. The presence sensor and daylight sensor are built into the trim itself, so the H2 Sense keeps a single, tidy circle of steel rather than two units side by side.
Brushed Steel, Bezel Only
This version comes in a brushed steel finish, giving a soft, low sheen look that sits well against most modern ceiling finishes. It's sold as the bezel only. You'll need a separately purchased H2 Sense downlight body to complete the fitting, so it's worth checking that's already on your list before ordering.
How It Works
- A PIR sensor detects movement in the room and switches the connected lighting on.
- A daylight sensor reads the ambient light level, so the circuit can stay off if there's already enough natural light.
- Once fitted, the bezel can control up to 200W of additional lighting elsewhere in the room, letting the H2 Sense act as the trigger for a wider lighting circuit rather than only switching itself.
- That same 200W allowance also covers non lighting loads, such as an extractor fan, so it can switch in step with occupancy too.
Where It Works Best
This bezel suits any room where you'd rather the lighting looked after itself. Hallways, landings, utility rooms, cloakrooms and store rooms are common spots for it. Because the sensor is built into the trim rather than mounted separately, it also works well in tighter ceiling voids where there isn't room for a standalone sensor unit sitting alongside the downlight.
