A bolt-on route to emergency lighting compliance
This small converter turns a standard Collingwood Caiman luminaire into a self test emergency fitting, without swapping the whole light out. It clips through the existing M20 interface, so an installer can add emergency cover to a fitting that is already in place in around 4 minutes.
Corridor lens for narrow, elongated spaces
This version uses a corridor lens rather than the standard open beam. It throws light along a longer, narrower path, which suits corridors and escape routes far better than a wide spread across an open room. Choose this lens when the fitting sits along a hallway or stairwell rather than in a lobby or open plan area.
How It Works
- Fits through the M20 interface on a compatible Caiman luminaire in around 4 minutes, with no need for a separate emergency fitting.
- Runs as a non maintained, self test unit. It stays off in normal use, checks itself automatically at set intervals, and only lights up during a mains failure or a manual test.
- Delivers up to 2.5W at 6000K for a rated duration of 3 hours once the mains supply drops out.
- Built from polycarbonate, rated IP65 for protection against dust and water jets, with IK07 impact resistance.
Where It Works Best
Fit this converter to Caiman luminaires along escape routes such as corridors, stairwells, and connecting walkways, anywhere building regulations call for emergency lighting to guide people to an exit. Because it bolts onto an existing luminaire rather than replacing it, it also suits retrofit jobs where the main fitting is staying put and only the emergency function is being added or upgraded.

Questions People Ask
Can this be fitted to any Collingwood luminaire?
No. It is designed to bolt onto the M20 interface of a compatible Caiman luminaire, not to be used as a standalone fitting or fitted to other ranges.
How long does the emergency lighting last once it is triggered?
It is rated for 3 hours of emergency operation once the mains supply fails, delivering up to 2.5W at 6000K.
Does it need manual testing?
No. It is a self test unit, so it checks its own battery and function automatically at set intervals rather than needing a manual test key.
What is different about the corridor lens version?
It throws a narrower, elongated beam suited to corridors and escape routes, rather than the wider spread of the standard open lens.
