This is Collingwood's SM7 profile, a slim surface-mounted aluminium channel that houses LED strip and gives it a neat, finished edge instead of a bare run of tape stuck to a wall or shelf. At just 17.5mm wide and 7mm deep, it sits flush enough to fit under cabinets, along ceiling voids and inside coving without drawing attention to itself, and the anodised aluminium body also helps draw heat away from the strip inside.
It comes with a translucent diffuser to soften the LEDs and hide the individual diodes, plus end caps fitted as standard so cable can exit cleanly at either end. It's supplied in 1m or 2m lengths, and a mounting bracket and linear connector are available separately if you need to fix it at intervals or join lengths together. Note it isn't compatible with IP68-rated strip, so it's best kept to dry, indoor runs.
