A Neat Way to Turn a Corner in LED Strip Lighting
Running LED strip in a straight line is easy. Getting it round a corner without a messy gap or a visible hot spot is where most installations fall down. This 45° profile solves that problem. It sits into an internal or external corner, whether that's where a wall meets a ceiling or the edge of a worktop or piece of joinery, and holds the strip in a clean line right up to the angle.
Anodised Aluminium With a Frosted Diffuser
The profile itself is anodised aluminium, giving it a hard, corrosion resistant surface with a subtle satin finish rather than raw metal. It measures 31mm wide by 8.25mm high, small enough to sit discreetly in a corner without drawing attention to itself. A frosted diffuser clips along the top to soften the strip's individual LED points into one even line of light, and ABS end caps finish off both ends. Those end caps are available plain or with a cable entry hole, so you can choose the option that matches how you plan to feed power in.
How It Works
Aluminium is a natural heat conductor, so mounting LED strip inside this profile draws heat away from the diodes rather than letting it build up as it would if the strip ran unsupported. That helps protect both the lifespan of the LEDs and how much light they keep putting out over time. The strip clips into the channel, the diffuser snaps over the top, and the end caps go on last for a finished look. It's sold in 100cm and 200cm lengths and works with any Collingwood LED strip up to the internal width of the channel.
Where It Works Best
This is the profile to reach for wherever LED strip needs to change direction. Under cabinet runs in a kitchen that continue around a corner unit, coving that follows the join between wall and ceiling around a room, or a run of joinery lighting that wraps the edge of a display cabinet are all typical uses. Because it's rated for indoor use, it belongs inside the home or a commercial interior rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood has been designing and manufacturing LED products since 2002, working from its base in Sywell, Northamptonshire. Accessories like this profile are part of that same in house approach to LED strip systems, built to work properly with the strip itself rather than as a generic add on. Collingwood has also been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, placing it among the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Can this profile be used on both internal and external corners?
Yes. The 45° angle is designed to sit neatly into an internal corner, such as where a wall meets a ceiling, or an external corner, such as the edge of a worktop or a piece of joinery.
What's the difference between the plain and cable entry end caps?
Both are the same ABS end cap, but one version has a pre cut hole so the LED strip's cable can pass straight through it, which is useful when you're powering the strip from that end rather than routing the cable elsewhere.
What LED strip fits inside this profile?
Any Collingwood LED strip up to the internal width of the channel will fit, so it's worth checking your strip's width against the profile before ordering.
Is this profile suitable for outdoor use?
No. It's listed as an indoor lighting accessory, intended for uses such as under cabinet, coving or joinery lighting inside the home.
Does the diffuser come fitted to the profile?
The diffuser is supplied with the profile and clips along the top of the channel, so it's fitted as part of installing the strip rather than arriving pre attached.
