This version pairs a white outer housing with a black baffle around the lens. The white blends into a painted ceiling, while the black baffle recesses the light source and cuts glare, so you notice the beam rather than the fitting itself. The cutout needed is 76 to 78mm, slightly larger than a fixed downlight to allow room for the adjustable mechanism.
