How It Works

Each of the nine E14 lamp holders runs the length of the 180cm frame, keeping light consistent along the whole surface rather than concentrated in one spot. Maximum wattage is 20W per bulb. The smoked glass shade filters out some of the brightness, making it feel less harsh in the evening while still providing proper working light. Class I electrical standard means an earth connection is required. The IP20 rating means this is for dry indoor use only.

Questions People Ask

Is the smoked glass dark or can you still see through it?
It's translucent, so light passes through clearly, but it diffuses and softens it. You can see the shape of the bulb behind the glass rather than seeing it brightly lit.

Will this give me enough light for cooking?
With nine E14 bulbs at up to 20W each, the total output is substantial. If you use LED bulbs you'll get bright clean light; pair it with a dimmer if you also want softer evening moods.

How does this compare to the clear glass version?
The smoked glass cuts brightness slightly and gives a warmer feel overall. The clear version shows the bulb more directly and feels brighter and more contemporary.
