How It Works

This is a dual direction, 82mm backset, lightly sprung tubular latch, designed for UK specific door knobs at 38mm centre distance. It comes with a face plate and strike plate in matching finish, a plastic dust box, and six woodscrews with two spares.

Made specifically to pair with Buster + Punch door knob sets rather than lever handles, which use a shorter 57mm backset latch. Suitable for interior doors only.

Made By Buster + Punch

Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Richard Rogers before turning his attention full time to a brand that started with custom motorbikes built in a Shoreditch garage. Door hardware followed soon after, and even the latch mechanisms hidden inside a door were engineered with the same care as the knobs and handles people actually touch.

Can I use this with a door handle instead of a knob?
It is designed specifically for door knob sets with an 82mm backset. Door lever handles use our shorter 57mm backset latch instead.

Why is this latch dual direction?
Door knob sets need a latch that releases from either direction, unlike the single direction latch used with lever handles.
