The Long Drop in Smoked Glass

The Forked Globe Smoked Pendant hangs low and lets the glass do the talking. A cast and machined metal fitting holds a handblown smoked glass globe on an adjustable cable, so it can drop exactly where you want the light rather than staying fixed to the ceiling.

Choose Your Finish

Brass, Gun Metal and Steel are all available, each finished with the same diamond cut linear knurling and cast fork detailing at the fitting. Brass warms the smoked glass up, Steel keeps things cool and industrial, and Gun Metal all but disappears into the dark tint of the globe itself.

How It Works

Inside the globe sits a Forked specific dimmable Buster Bulb, its LED filament standing upright and visible through the smoked glass. The cable is adjustable up to 3000mm, and can be shortened by a trained electrician if you need a tighter drop. It takes an E27 bulb up to 7W, wired for 220 to 240V and rated IP20.

Where It Works Best

This Large pendant carries a 290mm globe, big enough to anchor a dining table or work as a single strong drop over an island. Scaling down, the same fitting is available with a smaller globe in the Medium size, better suited to a side table or a tighter run of pendants. Being a pendant rather than a ceiling fitting, it needs enough headroom below to hang properly, unlike the flush mounted Ceiling versions.

Buster + Punch was started in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had already worked on major buildings with practices like Foster and Partners before deciding architecture alone wasn't enough. His evenings went into a garage in Shoreditch, restoring and customising motorbikes, and that garage habit is where the brand's actual attitude comes from, not the drawing board.
