The Forked Globe Opal Shade Pendant lowers a metal dome over a handblown opal globe on the end of an adjustable cable, so the light lands where you actually need it rather than spreading everywhere at once. Cast fork detailing and diamond cut linear knurling mark it out as part of the Forked range, built up from solid metal rather than a single stamped shell.

Available in Brass, Burnt Steel, Gun Metal or Steel. Brass leans warm and gold, Steel stays cool and bright, Gun Metal reads dark and flat, and Burnt Steel sits between the two with a subtle colour shift across its surface.

How It Works

The shade is hand spun metal, cast and machined alongside the rest of the fitting, then refined by hand. Because the shade encloses the bulb more fully than an open globe, this pendant ships with the Punch Bulb, a compact dimmable LED puck built specifically for shaded Forked fittings, E27 fitting, max 7W, wired for 220 to 240V AC and rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Where It Works Best

This is the Medium size, right for a single pendant over a side table, a run of two or three over a kitchen counter, or anywhere you want light close to the surface below. The Large steps up for a dining table or an island that needs more visual weight. As a pendant rather than the Ceiling version of this same shade and globe, the cable can be shortened by an electrician to set the exact drop your room needs.

Buster + Punch takes its name and its attitude from founder Massimo Buster Minale, who trained as an architect and worked on large scale buildings before he ever designed a light fitting. His evenings were spent restoring motorbikes in a garage in Shoreditch, and it was that habit of pulling machines apart and rebuilding them properly that eventually became the whole approach behind the brand.
