The Big Version, Still Softly Lit

The Forked Globe Opal Shade Pendant in Large scales up the metal dome and the handblown opal globe underneath it, so the shape stays the same as the smaller version but the presence is much bigger. Cast fork detailing and diamond cut linear knurling run through the metalwork above, tying it back to the rest of the Forked range.

Choose Your Finish

Available in Brass, Burnt Steel, Gun Metal or Steel. Brass reads warmest against the pale opal glass, Steel stays the coolest and brightest, Gun Metal gives the strongest contrast, and Burnt Steel sits in between with its own shifting tone.

How It Works

The dome shade is hand spun metal, cast and machined with the rest of the fitting and refined by hand. The handblown opal globe underneath diffuses the light evenly rather than showing a hotspot. Because the shade covers more of the globe, it ships with the Punch Bulb, a dimmable LED puck built for shaded Forked fittings, E27 fitting, max 7W, wired for 220 to 240V AC and rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Where It Works Best

This Large size suits a dining table, kitchen island or any space that can take a fitting with real scale. The Medium version of this same shade and globe fits smaller tables or a tighter run of pendants. Being the pendant rather than the Ceiling version, an electrician can shorten the 3000mm cable to set the exact height you need.

The Forked range traces back to Massimo Buster Minale, who trained as an architect and worked on major buildings before setting up Buster + Punch. His evenings restoring motorbikes in a Shoreditch garage taught him as much about construction as his day job did, and the brand still runs on that same mix of precision and hands on making.
