The Forked Ceiling Smoked Globe Shade layers a solid metal cap over a handblown smoked glass globe, so half the fitting stays hidden and half of it glows. It's the same Forked body, just styled with both elements at once.

Choose Your Finish

Brass, Steel, Gun Metal and Burnt Steel are all available for the metal shade and fittings. Burnt Steel is hand heat treated, so its blue and bronze tones shift piece to piece, while the smoked glass underneath stays the same across every finish.

How It Works

A Forked specific dimmable Buster Bulb sits inside the smoked globe, its upright LED filament partly visible below the metal shade. It needs an LED compatible dimmer switch to dim properly, takes an E27 base, runs up to 7W, and is rated 220 to 240V at IP20.

Where It Works Best

This Medium version sits at 250mm across and 150mm deep, a good match for a hallway or a lower ceiling where you still want the smoked glass on show rather than fully hidden. Prefer the globe with nothing covering it? The plain Globe versions leave it fully exposed, and if you'd rather hide the light source completely, the solid Shade versions drop the glass altogether.

Made By Buster + Punch

Founder Massimo Buster Minale trained as an architect and worked across major projects with practices including Richard Rogers, but it was a Shoreditch garage, not an architecture studio, where Buster + Punch actually took shape, built around evenings spent customising motorbikes. Combining a solid shade with a handblown globe on one fitting is exactly the kind of layered thinking that habit left behind.
