Most flush ceiling lights vanish into the plaster and try not to be noticed. The Forked Ceiling Smoked Globe does the opposite. A solid metal fitting sits close to the ceiling, and just below it hangs a handblown smoked glass globe that holds onto the light instead of scattering it everywhere.

Choose Your Finish

The metal body and cast fork detailing come in Brass, Gun Metal or Steel. All three share the same diamond cut linear knurling, so the decision really comes down to whether you want warm brass, cool steel, or the darker, more graphic look of gun metal against the smoked glass.

How It Works

A Forked specific dimmable Buster Bulb sits inside the globe as standard, its slim upright LED filament visible through the glass. Because each globe is handblown, the depth of the smoke tint varies slightly piece to piece. The fitting takes an E27 bulb rated up to 7W and runs on 220 to 240V, rated IP20 for indoor use.

Where It Works Best

At 200mm across, this Medium globe is sized for spaces where a pendant can't hang, a landing, a low ceiling, or a run of hallway lights spaced along a corridor. If you want a bigger glow or you're covering a larger room, the Large version takes the same fitting up to a 290mm globe. Either size stays fixed and flush to the ceiling, unlike the Pendant versions, which drop down on a cable instead.

Made By Buster + Punch

Long before Buster + Punch existed, its founder Massimo Buster Minale was an architect at firms like Foster and Partners and Richard Rogers, drawing up buildings by day. In the evenings he built and customised motorbikes in a garage in Shoreditch, and it was that habit, not the architecture, that eventually became the brand.
