The Forked Ceiling Opal Globe skips a shade entirely and lets a handblown opal sphere hang directly off the ceiling fitting, glowing evenly across its whole surface rather than throwing light from one point. Cast fork detailing and diamond cut linear knurling run through the metal above it, the same signature marks that run across the whole Forked range.

This one comes in Brass, Gun Metal or Steel. Brass adds warmth against the pale globe, Steel keeps the whole fitting cool and understated, and Gun Metal gives the strongest contrast against the opal glass.

How It Works

The fitting itself is cast and machined solid metal, refined by hand, holding a handblown opal glass globe that diffuses light in every direction rather than just downward. It ships with the dimmable Buster Bulb, an E27 LED rated up to 7W, wired for 220 to 240V AC and rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Where It Works Best

This is the Large size, suited to a room where you want the globe itself to read as a feature rather than disappear into the ceiling, a bedroom, landing or larger hallway. The Medium size sits smaller and quieter where the room doesn't need as much presence. Because this is the ceiling mounted version it sits flush with no drop, unlike the Pendant version of the same globe which hangs on an adjustable cable.
