The Forked Ceiling Medium Shade keeps things simple on paper, a solid metal dome fixed close to the ceiling, but the diamond cut knurling and cast fork detailing make sure it never reads as plain.

Brass, Steel and Burnt Steel are the three options here. Burnt Steel is hand heat treated, so no two shades come out quite the same, shifting between blue, bronze and purple depending on the angle, while Brass and Steel hold a single, even tone.

How It Works

Rather than a visible filament bulb, this shade hides a dimmable Punch Bulb inside, a puck shaped LED that needs an LED compatible dimmer switch to control properly, such as the ones Buster + Punch sells. It takes an E27 base, runs up to 7W, and is rated 220 to 240V at IP20.

Where It Works Best

At 250mm across and 150mm deep, this Medium shade suits a hallway, a landing or a run of ceiling lights spaced along a corridor, where you want a contained pool of light rather than a wide spread. The Large Shade steps the same design up to 340mm for bigger rooms, and if you'd rather see glass than metal, the Globe versions use a handblown globe instead of this solid shade.
