Scale up the Forked Ceiling Shade and you get this, a larger solid metal dome fixed flush to the ceiling, with the same cast fork detailing and diamond cut knurling as the rest of the range, just with more presence.

Choose Your Finish

Brass, Steel and Burnt Steel are the finishes on offer. Burnt Steel is hand heat treated rather than plated, so its blue, bronze and purple tones vary from one shade to the next, while Brass and Steel stay consistent piece to piece.

How It Works

A dimmable Punch Bulb sits hidden inside the shade rather than a visible filament bulb, so what you see from below is metal, not glass. It runs on an E27 base up to 7W, wired for 220 to 240V at IP20, and needs an LED compatible dimmer switch to dim properly.

Where It Works Best

At 340mm across and 205mm deep, this Large shade is built for a bigger room or a higher ceiling where the Medium Shade would look undersized. If you'd rather see glass than metal, the Globe versions swap this shade out for a handblown globe, and the Pendant Shade drops the same dome down on a cable instead of fixing it flush.

Before founding Buster + Punch in 2013, Massimo Buster Minale worked as an architect on large scale projects, including a stint with Foster and Partners, while spending his spare time rebuilding motorbikes in a garage in Shoreditch. The Large Shade carries the same logic as that garage work, solid, functional, and finished by hand rather than left as a plain metal cap.

The shade itself is 340mm across versus 250mm on the Medium, with a deeper 205mm profile.

Does it hang or sit flush?
It's fixed flush to the ceiling on a short rigid arm, it doesn't drop down like the Pendant version.

Yes, a dimmable Punch Bulb comes fitted as standard.
