Every extractor fan needs a dedicated way to cut its power for servicing, and most isolators are a flimsy grey box hidden in a loft. This one is a solid metal switch designed to sit on the wall in plain sight, built with the same coin screws and weight you get across the whole Buster + Punch electricity range.

Choose Your Finish

Five solid metal finishes are available. Steel and Brass suit an industrial or warm scheme respectively, Smoked Bronze sits between the two with a darker patina, Black works almost anywhere, and White is the option for a wall you want the switch to disappear into.

How It Works

This is a 10A triple pole isolator switch, rated at 250V and 50Hz, built to cut all three poles of a fan circuit in one action. The coin screws are functional as well as decorative, made from the same solid metal as the rest of the plate.

Fitted beside extractor fans in kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms wherever wiring regulations call for a local means of isolation. Intended for dry indoor locations.

Before he founded Buster + Punch in 2013, Massimo Buster Minale spent his evenings building and customising motorbikes in a garage in Shoreditch, refusing to buy in a part he could make himself. That same refusal to accept an off the shelf part is why even something as ordinary as a fan isolator switch gets a solid metal body and a proper screw head rather than a stamped plastic cover.
