Not every dimmable light is dimmed the same way. This module is built specifically for fittings that take a 0 to 10V or 1 to 10V control signal, the kind of low voltage dimmable driver used in a lot of built in LED lighting, rather than the mains dimming most household bulbs expect.

Choose Your Finish

This is a behind the plate component with no finish of its own. It's designed to sit under whichever Buster + Punch detail kit, knob and coin screws, you've already chosen for the plate, so the finish comes entirely from that detail kit rather than the module itself.

How It Works

Inside, it's a push on/off rotary mechanism, smooth and silent to turn, wired for two way switching on a 250V AC, 50Hz supply with a 6A rating. It's built specifically to send a 0 to 10V or 1 to 10V control signal to compatible dimmable ballasts and drivers, and Buster + Punch is explicit that it shouldn't be used for anything else, including standard mains dimming, since that would damage the module and invalidate the guarantee.

Where It Works Best

Choose this module where the fitting you're controlling already has a 0 to 10V or 1 to 10V dimmable driver built in, a kitchen with integrated LED strip lighting, for example, rather than a standard dimmable LED bulb in a normal fitting. For ordinary dimmable bulbs, the 120W LED dimmer module is the correct choice instead.

Can I use this to dim a normal dimmable LED bulb?
No, this module is built only for fittings with a 0 to 10V or 1 to 10V control signal driver. Using it for standard mains dimming can damage the module and will invalidate the warranty.
