It's easy to assume a latch this size gets less attention than a door handle, but ours doesn't work that way. This tubular deadbolt latch has a 57mm backset, a machined stainless body with a hand brushed finish, and a weighted throw built to feel exactly as solid on day one thousand as it did on day one.

Steel and Gun Metal read cool and industrial, Brass brings warmth, and Black recedes against a dark door. Because the faceplate is the only visible part once fitted, the simplest approach is to match whichever finish you've chosen for the door handle or knob it sits behind.

How It Works

This tubular deadbolt latch has a 57mm backset and is built to work with our 38mm thumbturn locks. The stainless steel faceplate and strike plate are PVD coated and hand brushed, and a custom weighted, two way throw keeps the action smooth and consistent every time the door is locked. It fixes to the front of the door face with the woodscrews supplied.

Where It Works Best

The 57mm backset suits standard doors where a shorter reach is needed, rather than the deeper mortise style case that calls for our 82mm version. Both share the same thumbturn compatibility and fixing method, so the choice comes down to what your door and existing lock case require. Built for internal doors only, this pairs with a thumbturn for bedrooms, bathrooms, or any room that needs privacy rather than external security.
