Four Circuits Behind One Calm White Face

Big rooms often end up with a row of separate switches fighting for space near the door. A 4G plate solves that by putting four independent dimmer circuits behind one flat white plate instead, so the wall stays calm even when the room behind it has a lot going on.

Choose Your Finish

The plate is white throughout, so your choice comes down to the detail kit, the four knurled knobs and their coin screws. Steel keeps things cool and industrial against the white, Brass adds warmth, and White on White is the option if you want the switch to read as one quiet block rather than a feature.

How It Works

Four separate rotary dimmer modules sit behind the plate, each push on/off and turn to dim, wired two way at 10AX. Every module runs on standard UK 230 to 240V wiring at 50Hz and dims LED bulbs from 5 to 120W, or incandescent and halogen from 60 to 400W, with electronic soft start easing each circuit up from off.

Where It Works Best

Reach for the 4G plate where a single wall genuinely needs to control four circuits, an open plan kitchen and living space with ceiling spots, under cabinet lights, a pendant and a floor lamp circuit, for example. If you only have two or three circuits to control, the 2G or 3G plates keep the same solid metal build without leaving spare, unused knobs on the wall.

Yes, each of the four modules controls its own circuit separately, so you can set each one to a different brightness.

What backbox does this need?
A standard UK double gang (2G) backbox, since the four modules are mounted across the 2G spacing rather than a single gang box.

Can I dim non dimmable LED bulbs with this?
No, only bulbs marked dimmable will work properly. Non dimmable LEDs can flicker or buzz if fitted here.
