Four Circuits, Uncompromising Black

Four dimmer knobs on one plate is a lot of hardware to get right, and this black version does it by keeping every part, plate, knobs and screws, in solid metal rather than anything moulded or pressed. It's built to control four separate circuits without the plate ever feeling like an afterthought.

Choose Your Finish

The plate is black throughout, so what changes between versions is the detail kit, the four knobs and coin screws underneath. Choose Black to keep the whole face reading as one dark block, Brass for a warm contrasting detail, or Steel for something cooler against the black.

How It Works

Four independent rotary dimmer modules sit behind the plate, each push on/off and turn to dim, wired two way at 10AX. Every module runs on standard UK 230 to 240V wiring at 50Hz and dims LED bulbs from 5 to 120W, or incandescent and halogen from 60 to 400W, with electronic soft start easing each circuit up from off.

Where It Works Best

Choose the 4G plate where a wall genuinely needs to run four separate circuits, an open plan kitchen and living space with spots, a pendant, under cabinet lighting and a lamp circuit, for instance. With fewer circuits to manage, the 2G or 3G black plates deliver the same solid build in a narrower footprint.

Buster + Punch was never meant to be a lighting company first, it grew out of founder Massimo Buster Minale's habit of machining his own motorbike parts in a Shoreditch garage rather than accepting whatever was available off the shelf. Started in 2013, the brand carried that habit straight into switches and sockets, which is why even a four gang plate this size is still built from solid metal, not painted plastic dressed up to look like it.
