The Smoked Bronze back plate stays fixed. The dimmer knobs and collars come in Smoked Bronze for a moody, tonal look, Brass for warmth against the darker plate, or Steel for a cooler contrast.

How It Works

Each of the four rotary dimmers has an electronic soft start and two way switching, so lights fade up rather than switching on abruptly. Every dimmer handles LED loads from 5W to 120W or incandescent and halogen loads from 60W to 400W, at 230 to 240V, 50Hz. The four modules run as independent circuits, so one plate can dim four separate lights or zones.

Where It Works Best

A 4 gang plate suits a space with several circuits to bring together, a living and dining area with ambient lighting, table lamps on a switched circuit and accent lighting, for example. Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who'd worked at firms including Foster and Partners before swapping the drawing board for a garage in Shoreditch and a career building motorbikes by hand. What does Smoked Bronze look like compared to black?
Smoked Bronze is a warmer, slightly softer dark tone than black, with more depth under light. As a natural metal finish it will also age gently with handling over time.

Is Linear Knurl a totally different switch to Cross Knurl?
No, the hardware is identical, same back plate, same dimmer modules. Linear Knurl just swaps the diamond cut pattern on the knob for a run of fine straight ridges.

Can this dimmer handle four different lighting circuits at once?
Yes, each of the four dimmer modules on this plate is an independent circuit, so you can control four separate lights or zones from the one plate.
