Three Circuits, All in Black

Black hardware has a way of disappearing into a dark wall while still feeling deliberate, and this triple dimmer plays that game with three separate lighting circuits behind one matte black plate. Every knob is machined from solid metal, not moulded, so the finish holds up to years of use rather than wearing thin at the edges.

Choose Your Finish

The plate stays black across the range, so the decision is really the detail kit, the three knobs and coin screws underneath. Pick Black to keep the whole plate reading as one unbroken block, Brass to warm the knobs up against the black plate, or Steel for a cooler contrast instead.

How It Works

Three independent rotary dimmer modules sit behind the plate, each a push on/off, turn to dim mechanism wired two way at 10AX. Every module runs on standard UK 230 to 240V wiring at 50Hz and dims LED bulbs from 5 to 120W, or incandescent and halogen from 60 to 400W, with electronic soft start easing each circuit up from off.

Where It Works Best

A 3G plate suits a room with three genuinely separate circuits on one wall, a kitchen with spots, under cabinet lighting and a pendant, for example. Two circuits are better served by the 2G plate; a fourth circuit, say a run of shelf lighting, is the point to move up to the 4G plate instead.
